Grant Writing Specialist

The Grant Writing Specialist will write and submit grant applications to assist EGC’s clients in obtaining grants to support their technology development. The candidate should be skilled in writing and submitting a broad range of grants to support early stage technology development. Grant mechanisms include SBIR/STTR (all agencies), NIH, DOD, and Private Foundations.

Job Requirements

  • Ph.D. in a scientific field
  • Postdoctoral or other professional experience preferred
  • Outstanding writing skills
  • Outstanding project management skills
  • Ability to learn new scientific fields quickly
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic, growing entrepreneurial environment

Grant Compliance Specialist

The candidate will assist EGC’s small business clients who have received Federal grant awards (SBIR/STTR and other types of grants and contracts) with establishing and maintaining a grant-compliant corporate infrastructure.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 3+ years experience in Grant Compliance and/or Administration
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles, and ability to work closely with Accountants
  • Ability to learn new tasks quickly
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a dynamic, growing entrepreneurial environment
  • Exceptional organization skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work well independently and in teams
  • Experience managing compliance aspects of NIH, DoD, NSF, and/or SBIR/STTR grants preferred
  • Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations and OMB Circular preferred
  • Experience negotiating indirect rates with Government Agencies preferred

Business Development Associate

The Business Development Associate will make initial contact with EGC inquiries, leads and prospective clients. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining the Salesforce database of EGC clients and prospects, as well as managing company newsletters and email campaigns. The candidate will prepare and update marketing materials, client surveys, and other business development materials as needed.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years experience in Business Development/Marketing/Sales role for a life sciences company, CRO, or consulting firm
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong oral, written communication and presentation skills
  • Understanding of scientific grant funding strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field
  • Master’s degree in business and/or undergraduate minor in business preferred

Grants Accountant

The Grants Accountant will provide accounting and tax services to EGC’s clients who have received government grants and/or contracts.

Job Requirements

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Experience working with small companies
  • Experience with LLCs, S Corps, C Corps
  • Proficiency with Quickbooks
  • Ability to work well independently and in teams
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive at a dynamic company: must be a quick learner and able to balance multiple tasks.
