Sarah Barilovits, Ph.D.

Dr. Sarah Barilovits is a molecular biologist with a broad background in academic research, the biotech industry, and scientific editing. She obtained her Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Florida, where she studied transcriptional regulation and the effect of nutrient deprivation on female fertility. Dr. Barilovits later joined Roche NimbleGen as a scientist, working on an early-access peptide microarray technology for epitope mapping and serum profiling. In this position, she managed projects for both academic and industry customers. Subsequently, Dr. Barilovits worked as an academic editor of scientific manuscripts at Research Square and obtained board certification as an editor in the life sciences. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, traveling, and discovering new restaurants, as well as spending time with her husband, family and friends, and two cats.

Education: B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Florida; Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Florida.
