Dr. Slawomir “Slav” Sloniowski is a versatile Grant Writing Specialist who feels equally comfortable writing grant proposals for the development of pharmaceuticals, medical devices, software, and business incubators, even though his primary areas of expertise are small molecule drugs and biologics for neurological, neuropsychiatric, and cancer indications. He graduated from the State University of New York in Buffalo with a B.S. in biochemistry, where he also performed research in ion channel biophysics. He earned his Ph.D. in neuroscience at the University of California Riverside, where he studied early brain development in the context of immune system activation. His work as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill was focused on developing viral vector based gene therapies for neurodevelopmental disorders. Dr. Sloniowski’s diverse interests fueled by his passion for science and technological innovation allow him to stay current while continuously expanding his already broad knowledge base. When not writing grant proposals, Dr. Sloniowski enjoys tinkering and traveling.
