Jangwoen Lee, Ph.D.

Dr. Jangwoen Lee is a broadly trained scientist with over 21 years of experience in
electrical engineering, biomedical optics, and translational medical research. Dr. Lee’s
career has been devoted to collaborative research working with diverse teams of
clinicians, scientists, and engineers to translate novel engineering concepts into medical
applications. Dr. Lee has a strong track record in scientific writing and formulating research
strategies, and he has authored over 30 peer-reviewed publications in medicine,
physiology, toxicology, and biomedical optics. At EGC, Dr. Lee is enthusiastic about
applying his problem-solving and interdisciplinary skills to support exciting and
promising research. Dr. Lee enjoys reading history books and playing tennis with his
children in his spare time.
