Leslie Sandusky-Beltran, Ph.D.

Dr. Leslie Beltran excels in developing comprehensive research proposals that advance scientific development. As a trained neuroscientist with broad expertise in learning, memory, and neurodegeneration, Dr. Beltran’s previous research has encompassed pre-clinical models to study cognitive enhancement and cognitive performance, post-traumatic stress disorder, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease. Throughout her career, Dr. Beltran has been supported by various funding sources, including a Dissertation Research Fellowship Award from the State University of New York at Albany, an Internal Research Grant from the University of South Florida College of Pharmacy, and a National Institutes of Health (NIH) P30 Pilot Grant from the New York University Alzheimer’s Disease Center. In her current position, Dr. Beltran enjoys working amongst a diverse group of scientists to help small businesses develop their cutting-edge technologies to meet significant unmet medical needs. In her free time, Dr. Beltran enjoys reading, exploring all the new cities she has lived in, and spending time with her family.
