Shweta Dambal, Ph. D.

Dr. Shweta (Shea) Dambal excels in bringing together multidisciplinary teams with the common objective of advancing scientific innovation. As a trained molecular biologist with expertise in oncology, prostate cell biology and epigenetics, Dr. Dambal has received prestigious awards from organizations including the Department of Defense (DOD) Prostate Cancer Research Program and the American Urological Association. Dr. Dambal also contributed to a National Institutes of Health (NIH) program project (P01) grant on cholesterol and prostate cancer and participated in multi-team P01 meetings alongside pioneers in the field, where she regularly contributed her scientific ideas towards proposal design, development and writing. Dr. Dambal has helped both small businesses and incubators secure grant funding from sources including the NIH, the Small Business Administration (SBA), and the Economic Development Administration (EDA). As a Scientific Consultant at EGC, Dr. Dambal enjoys the unique opportunity to collaborate with early-stage science companies and innovation centers with the common goal to advance ground-breaking innovations. During her spare time, Dr. Dambal enjoys reading, watching sports and exploring the outdoors with her husband and dog.
