Vice President of Accounting & Compliance

Jeremy Hinckley, CPA, MBA

Jeremy Hinckley, CPA, leads EGC’s Accounting & Compliance Team. Mr.Hinckley developed his deep accounting and finance expertise from roles in public accounting as well as most recently as the Controller and Director of Strategic Finance for the Carolina Center for ABA & Autism Treatment. Additional positions Mr. Hinckley has held include Accounting Manager at First Citizens Bank and Senior Accountant at top-50 public accounting firms. Originally from Rochester, NY, Jeremy obtained his MBA Finance from the Rochester Institute of Technology and his BS Accounting from SUNY Brockport. He is passionate about assisting small businesses grow and enjoys consulting on complex accounting and compliance issues. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, two children, and dog, as well as watching football and soccer.

Nadine Galvez, CPA

Nadine Galvez, CPA, has more than 20 years of accounting experience focused on audit and controllership roles. Ms. Galvez began her career with more than ten years in public accounting focused on clients with government funding that required Single Audits. Subsequent to public accounting she worked as the Assistant Controller for Developmental Disabilities Institute and most recently as the Controller for The Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New York. Ms. Galvez’s diverse strengths encompass compliance, audit preparedness, and GAAP financial statement preparation. Ms. Galvez was born in Peru, moved to New York after graduating high school, and recently relocated to North Carolina. She volunteers with not for profits focusing on crisis support services and advocacy for youths. Much of her free time is centered around her son, who is away at college, her husband and their two French Bulldogs. She loves reading, the beach, the outdoors and good food.

Chris Gearing, CPA

Chris Gearing, CPA, has over 16 years of experience in accounting and finance roles.  Mr. Gearing began his career in public accounting where he supported clients in the financial institution, non-profit, pharmaceutical, governmental, and technology industries.  Mr. Gearing most recently served as the Director of Finance for the Hunt Institute and Chief Financial Officer at the Welcome Credit Union. From his experience, Mr. Gearing has developed expertise in investor reporting, budgeting & forecasting, and system implementations.  He is passionate about serving his clients and helping them grow efficiently.  In his spare time Chris enjoys spending time with his family, dogs, and going to the gym.

Aron Josefsberg, MBA

Aron Josefsberg has been an accountant for small businesses, and publicly traded companies, for over 15 years. Prior to working at Eva Garland Consulting, he worked as a Controller for AFK Interactive (mobile games development), and as an Accounting Manager for Intelecom Systems, Inc. (billing systems development). He has a wide range of accounting knowledge in various industries and is known for his detail-oriented, organized approach to the rapidly changing environment of grant accounting. Originally from Long Island, New York, Mr. Josefsberg moved to North Carolina in 2003. He and his wife are currently raising two wonderful children.

Manager

Matthew Albert, CPA

Matthew Albert is a Certified Public Accountant with over eight years of accounting experience spanning public accounting and private industry. Prior to his tenure at Eva Garland Consulting, Matthew most recently held the position of Revenue Accounting Manager at AppDirect, Inc. He also served as a Senior Accountant at Citrix Systems. Matthew began his professional career in public accounting at BDO USA, LLP, where he progressed from an intern to an Experienced Senior Assurance Associate. His areas of expertise encompass client service, financial reporting, ad-hoc analysis, month-end and quarter-end closings, and account reconciliations. In his free time, Matthew enjoys playing golf, culinary arts, running, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends, as well as cheering on the NC State Wolfpack and Carolina Hurricanes.

Tax Manager

PJ Donohue, CPA

PJ Donohue is an accomplished Certified Public Accountant with extensive experience in providing tax, consulting, and compliance services to technology, life sciences, and manufacturing companies. With a background at a top ten public accounting firm, PJ offers the technical depth of big-firm experience alongside a hands-on understanding of how small and growing businesses can leverage R&D tax credits, payroll tax credits, and other tax strategies to support their success. His guidance has helped numerous businesses file accurate tax returns while optimizing their cash flows. PJ is originally from Idaho but has been calling North Carolina home since 2024. In his spare time, PJ enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as going out and exploring all the great things North Carolina has to offer.

Mona Povlick, CPA

Mona Povlick is a CPA with over 25 years of accounting experience. Ms. Povlick began her career in public accounting with Ernst & Young where she focused on auditing for a wide variety of organizations. She also was an internal auditor prior to moving into the corporate and non-profit accounting areas. Her areas of expertise are monthly financial closings, financial statements, and reconciliations, and she has served in a number of managerial roles throughout her career. Ms. Povlick was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and pets, as well as enjoying time at the beach and lake.

Cassie Gyles

Cassie Gyles has nearly 20 years of accounting experience across several industries, including energy, agrochemical, higher education, and medical. Her specialties include general ledger accounting, monthly financial closings, financial statements, reconciliations, intercompany, treasury, and internal audit. Ms. Gyles was born and raised in Miami, Florida, but has called North Carolina home for many years. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, discovering new restaurants, crafting, and going to the beach as often as possible.

Monica Iravedra, CPA

Monica Iravedra is an experienced Accountant, who previously served on the audit team for PricewaterhouseCoopers. Ms. Iravedra graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Puerto Rico – Rio Piedras Campus, where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Shortly after, she obtained her CPA license. She is fluent in both Spanish and English. When not working, she enjoys traveling, going on road trips (especially to the beach!), watching the latest movies, going to the theater, and discovering new restaurants. Ms. Iravedra is always excited to share newly discovered eateries – from a great brunch place to a hidden burger joint!

Maggie Malecki

Maggie Malecki is a Staff Accountant on EGC’s Accounting & Compliance Team. She has experience in corporate accounting in both the for-profit as well as the non-profit sectors. Ms. Malecki is currently working towards becoming a CPA. She was born in Poland and moved to North Carolina in 2018. In her free time, she enjoys having fun with her kids and competing in triathlons (running being her favorite part).

Brady McElheny

Brady McElheny is a Staff Accountant on EGC’s Accounting & Compliance Team. He enthusiastically assists clients in managing all of their grant accounting needs in an accurate and efficient manner. Mr. McElheny is originally from Waymart, PA and now resides in Cary, NC. In his free time he enjoys going on walks on the greenway and keeping up with the latest news.

Tuki Munkhjargal

Turbat (“Tuki”) Munkhjargal is a Staff Accountant on EGC’s Accounting and Compliance team. Born in Mongolia, Mr. Munkhjargal recently moved to the United States and is actively working towards earning his CPA. Beyond his professional career, he is an avid sports enthusiast, with a particular passion for soccer and basketball. During his free time, Mr. Munkhjargal can often be found glued to the TV screen, closely following matches and tournaments, analyzing players’ strategies, and celebrating the triumphs of his favorite teams.
