Katharine L. Korunes, Ph.D.

Dr. Katharine Korunes has strong biotechnology and biomedical sciences expertise, including genetics/genomics, computational biology, and bioinformatics. Before joining EGC, Dr. Korunes received the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship award and NIH Ruth L. Kirschstein Postdoctoral Fellowship award to support her research in computational biology and human population genetics. She routinely served as a manuscript reviewer for multiple research journals. In addition, Dr. Korunes has served as an ad hoc grant reviewer and as a panelist for the NSF. As a Scientific Consultant at EGC, Dr. Korunes is passionate about working with experts across disciplines and leveraging her extensive experience in grant writing and reviewing to support entrepreneurs and scientists to advance their technologies using non-dilutive funding. In her spare time, Dr. Korunes enjoys gardening, cooking, running, paddle boarding, and spending time outdoors.
