Kathleen Walter, Ph.D.

Dr. Walter is a formally trained immunologist with diverse expertise in nutrition, genetics, virology, neuroscience, and animal behavior. Prior to joining EGC, Dr. Walter received the NIH Ruth L. Kirschstein Postdoctoral Fellowship (F32) for her research on dietary therapeutic agents for fetal alcohol spectrum disorders and persistent neuroinflammation at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is an experienced Scientific Writer and served as a peer-reviewer for multiple scientific journals. Dr. Walter has experience writing regulatory compliance documents including IACUC, SOPs, EHS, APHIS permits, and BUAs. In her current role, Dr. Walter enjoys applying her interdisciplinary skills and expertise to help other scientists advance their research and technology innovations through federal funding. In her spare time, Dr. Walter enjoys attending theater performances, art shows, museums, exploring new cities,and spending time with family and friends.
