Kelsey McLaughlin, Ph.D.

Dr. Kelsey McLaughlin is a well-trained biomedical researcher and experienced grant writer. Her expertise includes physiology, molecular biology, and cancer biology. Before joining EGC, Dr. McLaughlin conducted her graduate and postdoctoral research at East Carolina University, Brody School of Medicine, where she studied metabolism in the context of multiple diseases, including cancer, diabetes, and neurological aging. Dr. McLaughlin has extensive experience in scientific communication and preparing grant applications for various agencies, including the Department of Defense (DoD) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH). As a Scientific Consultant at EGC, Dr. McLaughlin enjoys providing strategies and assisting diverse scientists and entrepreneurs in obtaining non-dilutive funding to support their science and technology innovations. In her spare time, Dr. McLaughlin enjoys running, hiking, playing soccer, and spending time with her family and dogs.
