Tulane Spin-Out Redefines Breast Reconstruction Through Regenerative Science
$3M
Non-dilutive funding awarded
Founded in 2015 as a Tulane University spin-out, BioAesthetics is developing a biomaterial scaffold that integrates with the body to support natural tissue regeneration—offering a more durable, biologically aligned alternative to traditional implants.
BioAesthetics’ founders, Billy Heim and Nick Pashos, knew that advancing the company’s technology would require substantial non-dilutive capital, and they retained EGC to lead the company’s non-dilutive funding and accounting initiatives. Through this long-standing partnership, BioAesthetics has secured more than $3 million in non-dilutive funding, enabling continued advancement of its cellular graft technology, with an initial focus on developing a tissue-engineered nipple-areolar complex (NAC).
In recognition of its innovation and impact, BioAesthetics was named EGC’s 2022 North Carolina Innovation Award winner, underscoring its potential to redefine breast reconstruction and improve outcomes for patients.
