Transforming Industrial Steam Management to Reduce Energy Waste and Emissions.

$275k

Non-dilutive funding awarded

Industrial steam systems account for roughly 37% of fossil fuel use in U.S. manufacturing, and undetected steam trap failures are a costly driver of energy waste and emissions in industrial processes. In partnership with EGC, Imperium Technologies secured NSF SBIR funding to develop a next-generation solution—combining intelligent hardware with real-time monitoring to bring visibility and control to steam systems. With the SBIR funding, Imperium is advancing its InteliTrap® technology and SteamView® platform, using IIoT sensors and analytics to enable early detection of failures, reduce energy loss, and improve system reliability.

Upon receiving their first SBIR award, Imperium leveraged EGC’s expertise in financial and compliance infrastructure, enabling the company to accelerate development and commercialization.

Building on its SBIR success, the company has attracted more than $3 million in investment to support continued deployment across industrial sectors—exemplifying how strategic funding, paired with strong financial execution, can accelerate product development and company growth.

I am so impressed by how effectively you adapt your talents to the project at hand. Thanks also for keeping us on track and on schedule. Let’s hope for the best!”
